Discounted Green Fees at other Courses

We all enjoy the experience of playing other courses – perhaps as part of a family holiday or maybe as part of a group golf trip - and having the opportunity to play them at a reduced fee rate will make the experience even more enjoyable!

One of the huge benefits for Preston Golf Club members is that they have easy access and discounted fee rates, at a vast number and variety of courses around the whole of the UK and Ireland (and even one or two further afield).

All of these courses offer preferential fee rates to members of Preston Golf Club – either through affiliate schemes such as the 1892 Club and the James Braid Association or as part of locally agreed reciprocal arrangements.

In all cases the booking must be made in advance with the host club and as a guide it should be a maximum of a car load rather than a coach load.  Proof of membership to Preston Golf Club is normally requested by the host club.

James BraidJames Braid Association

James Braid (pictured) had a significant influence on the design of Preston Golf Club between 1910 & 1920, with many characteristics of his style still evident today.
He also helped design over 200 other clubs in the UK and the majority of these have combined to form the James Braid Association.
If a Preston Golf Club Member plays any other club within the association they get reduced green fees, normally member guest rate.

See the linked file (below) for full info about the precise terms and costs.

1892 Club

Preston Golf Club was established in 1892, as were many other clubs across the UK.  Most of these clubs have joined together to form the 1892 Club and members from Preston Golf Club may play for free at another course within the 1892 Club,  provided it is located outside a radius of 70 miles from our own club.

Reciprocal Agreements

Friendly links to more local clubs has always been important to Preston Golf Club and as such we have established a range of reciprocal arrangements for the benefit of our members.  If a Preston Golf Club member plays any other club with whom we have a reciprocal arrangement then they get reduced green fees, normally member guest rate.
